Granola bars

Makes 30 bars

What you need

0,5 lb. almonds
¼ lb. unsalted cashews
⅓ lb. pumpkin seeds
0,5 lb. oatmeal
2 tablespoon desiccated coconut
1 pack of Fruit Heroes chopped into smaller pieces

¼ lb. honey
¼ lb. peanut butter
1 egg
1 cup water


Roughly chop the almonds and cashews.
Mix chopped nuts, oatmeal, desiccated coconut, pumpkin seeds and fruit bars.
Put the mixture on a baking tray covered with a baking sheet and bake in the oven for about 15 minutes at 175°.
Meanwhile heat the honey and peanut butter in a pot. Slowly bring to the boil and then whip the mixture.
Add water and cool down to room temperature. When it is cooled, mix in the egg.
Pour the marinade over the mixture and mix it until it all sticks together.
Cover an ovenproof dish (14x8 inches). Spread the mixture and smooth the surface with water.
Bake it in the bottom of the oven at 175° for about 18 minutes.
When the baked base has cooled down, remove it from the tray and cut it in 30 pieces.


Linseed, sunflower seeds etc. can be used instead of pumpkin seeds.

Suitable for freezing.
